AUSTRALIA | “6-7” has been crowned Australia’s family word of the year, ahead of terms like "No Cap", "Delulu" and "Aura".
New research from Uncle Tobys revealed many Aussie parents have been struggling to keep up with their kids’ ever-changing language.
More than half (63 percent) of parents don’t understand the lingo their children use, while 40 percent have had to ask their child to explain modern slang.
The Uncle Tobys Roll-Ups team has turned this new lingo into lunchbox fun, with a new range of playful, trend-inspired tongue prints.
Inspired by the language shaping childhood in 2026, the new Roll Ups feature the top words as easy-to-transfer, edible tongue prints designed for a playful connection within Aussie families.
Uncle Tobys Marketing Manager Jessica Barnes said every generation has its own language, and right now kids are having fun with phrases like ‘6-7’ and ‘No cap’.
“With the new Roll Up tongue prints, we’re giving families a fun way to join the conversation.”
Barnes added that Roll Ups have always been about imagination, and this launch has brought that spirit into today’s culture with a nostalgic snack Aussie parents grew up with, reimagined for the next generation.
To keep the fun going, Uncle Tobys has also invited Roll Ups fans to vote on the next tongue print design. Fans can visit the Uncle Tobys Instagram and share their suggestions in the comments.
Available in Strawberry and Apple flavour Tongue Print varieties, Uncle Tobys Roll Ups are made with real fruit and are now available at leading supermarkets.
