Waitrose Honoured With Royal Warrant

Waitrose Honoured With Royal Warrant

Waitrose has received the Royal Warrant of Appointment to be Grocers and Wine & Spirit Merchants to His Majesty King Charles III.

It is the only Royal Warrant granted to a supermarket among the first to be awarded by His Majesty. Companies that have supplied the Royal Household for at least five years are given the Warrant as a mark of recognition.

James Bailey, Waitrose’s Executive Director, expressed his pride and honour for the Warrant granted by His Majesty. This recognition is significant for Waitrose, its farmers and suppliers. It is a powerful symbol of their commitment to service and quality and their dedication to the highest environmental and animal welfare standards.

Waitrose is committed to providing excellent service to the communities it serves. The company also strives to uphold high standards of environmental and animal welfare and fair treatment of its farmers and suppliers.

The King’s Warrant follows that granted by Her late Majesty The Queen in 2002 and by The then Prince of Wales in 2010. Waitrose was initially granted a Royal Warrant in 1928 for supplying King George V with groceries and cleaning materials.
