All Good Bananas has sold its 50 millionth bunch in New Zealand.
That's a massive milestone for a Fairtrade-certified brand that began in 2010 delivering fruit from the back of a car, back when doubters said Kiwis wouldn’t pay more for an ethical banana.
Sales have grown for five years in a row, and 2026 is on track to be the brand's strongest year yet. That growth matters well beyond the fruit aisle. Founders Chris and Matt Morrison and Simon Coley set out to change the local banana industry for good, and they partnered with growers in El Guabo, Ecuador, to do it.
Since then, more than NZD four million in Fairtrade premiums has flowed back to the El Guabo community, where the growers themselves decide how it's spent. It has paid for a medical centre that serves over 2,000 people a year, supports 30 schools and more than 1,200 school bags each year.
"This isn't charity. It's what happens when farming families earn a fair, stable price and control their futures," said co-founder Matt Morrison.
All Good bananas are available throughout New World and PAK'nSAVE stores, along with premium grocers Farro, Moore Wilson's and Commonsense.
