AUCKLAND butcher Sam Nadason of Sam’s Butchery in Kelston, has taken out the Bacon of the Year contest this month beating off 139 other bacon entries from 50 other butcheries. The only retail grocer to feature was Calum Sutherland of Rotorua’s Westend New World who took a bronze in the middle-eye bacon category.
