Zebra International has undertaken a consumer-level recall of its Feastables brand Mr Beast Bar Milk Chocolate, due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (peanut). People with a peanut allergy should not consume this product. If customers have consumed any of these products and have any concerns about their health, seek medical advice. If customers are not allergic to peanuts, this recall does not affect them.
The product has been imported from Peru, and is sold at Countdown, FreshChoice and SuperValue supermarkets throughout New Zealand. The product is also sold online, and is sold in a 35g and 60g foil packet.
This recall does not affect any other Feastables brand products. While the product labelling indicates that it 'may contain peanuts, tree nuts, soy and wheat', New Zealand Food Safety has been informed of two allergic reactions in New Zealand related to the product.
Retailers of the products in this recall must download a copy of the point of sale notice and display it in-store for one month.
All batches and all dates are affected in the recall.
Customers with a peanut allergy should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.
