Countdown has been named Supreme Brand Champion at the 2015 Steak of Origin awards with its award winning, Countdown Angus Beef.
The Awards are an annual event, run by New Zealand Beef and Lamb, to select the best steak producer in the country.
Countdown’s meat division manager, Mark Baker, says the award is great recognition of the top quality meats that Countdown offers its customers.
Countdown’s North Island Meat Plant supplies approximately 400,000 kgs (or 600,000 packets) of meat to all the North Island Countdown stores each week.
