Do corn chips and coffee belong together?
Brewing up a bold new way to beat the afternoon slump, Doritos has released the limited first batch of Doritos Coffee, a pick-me-up for New Zealanders.
With Kiwis around the country frustrated by their favourite coffee shops being closed at 3 p.m. every day, the new chip flavour will not only satisfy those afternoon snack cravings but indulge that need for a delicious cup of coffee, too.
Whether at work or just needing an afternoon boost, the bold aromatic taste of coffee, combined with the iconic Doritos crunch, is an afternoon snack and coffee all in one.
“We know how much Kiwis love their coffee and often look for a mid-afternoon pick me up. Enter our latest flavour, Doritos Coffee. We can’t wait to see the reactions of chip fans and coffee lovers as they try the very first batch,” said Catherine McLaren, Marketing Manager at Doritos.
Doritos Coffee is not available for purchase, but Kiwis can get their hands on these limited-edition packs in multiple ways. Doritos offers Kiwis the exclusive chance to try the limited first batch of Doritos Coffee flavour via a 5-day giveaway on the Doritos Facebook or Doritos TikTok pages.
On Thursday, the 22nd of August, “Doristas” will be brewing the snacks in the Doritos Coffee Truck for Aucklanders to try the flavour for themselves.
Kiwis can also taste the new culinary combination through a charity auction, with all proceeds going to The Rising Foundation charity. The auction will run from the 20th of August to the 27th of August, with the highest bidder receiving the special packs for this limited-edition first batch.
The Rising Foundation supports young adults in South Auckland in achieving their potential and PepsiCo NZ has long supported the charity.
