Suntory Oceania Announces Partnerships to Empower Young Adults Living with Disability

For more than 125 years, Suntory has been guided by the philosophy of Growing for Good.

Today, Suntory Oceania has built on that legacy with the announcement of two new long-term community partnerships with The Dylan Alcott Foundation in Australia and Recreate NZ in New Zealand, expanding opportunities for young adults living with disability across the region.

Suntory Oceania will invest more than AUD 450,000 over three years to support programmes that build confidence, strengthen independence and open pathways into education, employment and community life.

This investment has reinforced Suntory's purpose-led approach to creating lasting social impact through partnerships that empower people and strengthen the communities where we live and work.

With roughly one in five Australians and one in six New Zealanders living with disability, the partnerships reinforce a shared commitment to inclusion, confidence-building and creating long-term opportunities for young people.

At Suntory, our purpose has always been grounded in giving back to society.

“We are delighted to partner with organisations that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people living with disability. We hope to grow together, supporting programmes that build real-world skills, confidence, and community connection, that break barriers for brighter futures,” said Dai Minato, CEO of Suntory Beverage & Food Oceania.

The partnership with The Dylan Alcott Foundation, whose mission is to remove barriers and create equal opportunities for young Australians living with disability, will support programs and initiatives that help young people build confidence, fulfil their potential and pursue their goals across sport, education and vocational pathways.

Suntory Oceania will deliver targeted grants for individuals to break barriers and will join the Shift 20 Initiative as a Silver Member to support the advancement of disability representation in advertising.

In New Zealand, Suntory Oceania will support Recreate NZ, a leading not-for-profit organisation that delivers social, recreational and developmental programmes for young adults living with intellectual disabilities.

Designed to build confidence, capability and long-term independence, the partnership will fund the annual Youth Board Leadership programme, deliver life-skills courses covering financial literacy, public transport, cooking and digital safety and enable multiple Moxie work-experience programmes that create pathways into sustainable employment.

Beyond funding, Suntory employees across Australia and New Zealand will have opportunities to support these initiatives directly through volunteering, skills-based contributions and community involvement. This announcement forms part of Suntory Oceania’s broader philanthropic and sustainability commitments.

The new partnerships complement existing collaborations with Earthwatch Australia and Keep New Zealand Beautiful, delivering Suntory’s water education programme Mizuiku and extending its sustainability efforts beyond operational excellence to supporting the next generation.
