Wellington craft brewer Fortune Favours has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Coca-Cola Amatil NZ which will allow the company to oversee the sales and distribution of Fortune Favours beer and cider ranges throughout New Zealand.
Fortune Favours CEO and founder Shannon Thorpe said that the deal would make Fortune Favours a nation brand. “We are very excited about the partnership and see it as a great way to take FF from being a strong ‘up and comer’ to a truly national brand.”
“There is a great culture and enthusiasm within Amatil, and their sales and distribution network is second to none. This relationship will allow us to continue the growth of the brand, while still continuing to own and run the brand but with the added support of Amatil’s substantial sales and distribution expertise.”
As part of the agreement, Coca-Cola Amatil will be putting a team of beer ambassadors on the road to ensure that customers have all the support and information they need to engage their customers with the brand.
Coca-Cola Amatil NZ general manager of sales, Steve Inch revealed that he was looking forward to adding Fortune Favours to the Amatil portfolio, and the chance to introduce more customers and consumers to this great brand.

Fortune Favours is a new entrant in the Wellington brewing scene, opening its bar and brewery in August 2017. In just 18 months the brand has achieved over 100 taps nationally pouring its product and approximately 300 customers for its packaged beer.
The craft beer brand has a core range of five products including; The Wellingtonian NZIPA; The Adventurer Pilsner; The Oregonian American Amber Ale; The Naturalist Unfiltered Pale Ale and The Sunchaser Blueberry Cider. Fortune Favours also produces numerous seasonal and experimental beers from their central Wellington Brewery.
The agreement will officially commence on April 1st.
