‘CHEAP’ WINE VOTED BEST IN THE WORLD

In a blind tasting test, a £4.37 (NZ$8.80) supermarket wine from British chain Asda was named the best wine in the world at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards. Produced in Chile, the 2015 La Moneda Reserva Malbec has beaten around 16,000 wines and was voted ‘Best in Show’ by a panel of 240 experts, who described it as having ‘an excellent freshness’.
