Wellington-based chocolate maker Whittaker’s has brought excitement to the category by launching a new limited-edition K Bar Block, coming in three unique flavours; lime with milk chocolate, pineapple with milk chocolate and raspberry with dark Ghana chocolate. The product hit supermarkets on August 22nd.
The comeback of 1950s K Bars taps effectively into consumers’ nostalgia. As part of this campaign, Whittaker’s has also launched ‘The K Bar’ in Wellington, a pop-up in the style of a 1950s milk bar offering chocolate and K Bar-themed milk shakes, cupcakes and truffles, as well as the original K Bars. Located at 268 Cuba Street, the bar will remain open till the end of the month.
“It’s the first time we’ve ever had a physical ‘shop front’, and we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to connect this directly with Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers, complementing the engagement we already have with them daily over social media,” said Holly Whittaker, Whittaker’s marketing manager.
