Blockchain technology company TagOne has seen steady expansion thanks to the prevalence of good, honest companies, according to its co-founder and CEO Trinanjan Gupta.
The company works with suppliers of dietary supplements to help them meet their transparency goals, by enabling customers to track the supply chain of their products from growers to farmers to wholesalers. This is especially important in the dietary supplement industry owing to the natural origin of its products. Unlike in pharmaceuticals, Mr Guptas' previous industry, a producer cannot simply double the amount of turmeric they produce in a given year. "If someone can, then there's something wrong, like adulteration by adding yellow powder to it."
Mr Gupta credited "good companies and like-minded people" with enabling his business to expand. "They are the people we believe will create a new standard around transparency."
