Waitrose has announced the acquisition of Dishpatch, a meal-kit delivery service that provides restaurant-quality home dining in collaboration with some of the UK’s leading chefs, such as Angela Hartnett, Michel Roux Jr., Rick Stein, Sabrina Ghayour, and others.
With over 40 Dispatch menus to choose from, Dishpatch offers a national delivery of food and wine every Friday, ensuring an indulgent weekend meal. What sets Dishpatch apart from other meal kit companies is its convenience.
All dishes are pre-prepared, requiring only a few simple steps to finish and serve, taking the hassle out of high-end home dining.
“We have shared values in serving our customers the best quality food and look forward to working together,” said James Bailey, Executive Director for Waitrose.
“While our immediate focus will be helping Dishpatch grow its core meal kit business, we look forward to working with the team to bring Waitrose customers further new and exciting food experiences.”
Since launching in 2020, Dishpatch’s mission has always been to bring the most exciting, high-quality restaurant food into more people's lives.
We're thrilled to be partnering with Waitrose, whose reputation has been built on the quality of its food. With such aligned values, we're excited to bring our meal kits to a broader audience and explore new opportunities beyond that,” said Peter Butler, Founder and CEO of Dishpatch.
Under the continued leadership of Peter Butler, the founder and CEO of Dishpatch, the company will maintain its operations. The transaction was facilitated by Interpath Advisory, who acted as the lead financial advisor to Dishpatch.
