AUSTRALIA | Woolworths has reinforced its long-term commitment to delivering more everyday value for Australian families by expanding the number of popular grocery products with a Lower Shelf Price.
More than 100 new products will be added from this month, taking the total to almost 700 with Lower Shelf Prices.
This latest investment will see the shelf price of newly included family essential products fall by an average of about 14 percent. Overall, across the total basket of the new 100+ products added to Lower Shelf Price this month, customers could save up to AUD 110.
Since launching in May, Lower Shelf Price will have saved customers more than AUD 50 million by the end of this month, compared to the original shelf prices.
"We know that providing consistent, reliable value to our customers is more important than ever. This is not about temporary specials, but about long-term shelf price certainty on the products that matter most for families,” said Woolworths Group CEO, Amanda Bardwell.
"Since launch, we have seen the lower shelf prices resonate with our customers and we're seeing families embrace the savings on key staples such as bread, yoghurt, cheese and baby wipes.
Bardwell added that customers mentioned that these dependable prices have helped them plan and manage their weekly shop with more confidence.
"Our commitment to providing value is ongoing, and we will continue to invest in lower shelf prices in the future.”
Since launch in May, some of the most popular products on Lower Shelf Price include items such as bread, rice, Woolworths Spring Water Bottles (600ml, 24 pack) and Coca-Cola (2L), and more.
Other ways customers can find great value at Woolworths include:

- Making the most of Everyday Rewards - by scanning and boosting offers in the Everyday Rewards app, members are saving an average AUD 160 each year.
- Saving 30 per cent on average by opting for Woolworths' own-brand products instead of similar branded products.
- Shopping The Odd Bunch range, which offers another way to save at least 20 percent on fruit and vegetables that are slightly odd, but still great quality, while also supporting Australian farmers who are able to sell more of their produce.
