UK | Tesco has launched an Own Brand ‘Made Without Added Nitrites’ range in response to growing customer demand for ham and bacon products without added nitrites.
With online searches for products without added nitrites rising by over 360 percent year-on-year, the new range caters to customers who are looking to avoid nitrites in their diet while still enjoying all their favourite products.
With options including streaky bacon to top breakfast pancakes and wafer-thin ham for sandwiches, the new range is made from 100 percent British pork and has been specially prepared to deliver great quality and taste.
"We’re excited to launch our Tesco Made Without Added Nitrites range designed to give our customers greater choice without compromising on taste," said Richard Wood, Meat, Fish, Poultry, Eggs and Dairy Director.
"Our product development teams and supplier partners have worked hard to develop a great quality range made from 100 percent British pork that is perfect for mealtimes."
The Made Without Added Nitrite Bacon Range will be available in 668 larger Tesco stores from the 21st of September, with the ham range available from the 12th of October.
