Eight charities across New Zealand will receive a combined NZD 63,500 in funding grants thanks to the annual Support My Cause campaign.
This is a community-giving initiative driven by employees at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Coca-Cola Oceania (known locally as Coca-Cola in New Zealand), as they nominate local charities close to their hearts for the chance to receive a donation.
“Every nomination tells a story,” said Wendy Rayner, Managing Director at CCEP.
“It’s not just about giving back to our local communities; it’s about amplifying the voices of our employees and supporting the causes they care deeply about.”
Nominations for 2025 are aligned with four key pillars: Health & Wellbeing, Environment & Conservation, Food Scarcity, and Pathways to Employment.
A judging panel of six representatives from Coca-Cola in New Zealand reviewed the nominations and selected the finalist charities. Employees then voted to determine the winners.
“I’m delighted that through Support My Cause, we’re making a meaningful difference in our communities, supporting a diverse range of causes that matter to our people and recognising the incredible mahi of these deserving local charities," said Julie O’Toole, Franchise Director at Coca-Cola New Zealand.
This year’s campaign culminated in eight charities being selected for funding: • Assistance Dogs • Bowel Cancer NZ Classified - Confidential • Big Buddy Mentoring • Autism Dads Support Group • Te Tautiaki Hoiho – Yellow Eyed Penguin Trust • Citizens Advice Glen Innes (Foodbank) • GBB (Good Bitches Baking) • Muriwai Environmental Trust (MET).
Now in its fourth year, Support My Cause continues to grow as a cornerstone of the Coca-Cola in the Community social impact programme, fostering deeper connections and giving back to the communities in which employees live and work.
