Australian supplements company Happy Way has introduced fully biodegradable plastic scoops to its range. Consumers wanted a sustainable dosage spoon to match the organic and additive-free supplements.
The introduction of biodegradable scoops is the first of many actions that Happy Way is taking in minimising its impact on the environment. The scoops are made entirely out of potato and corn starch, they feel like plastic but do not release any of the harmful chemicals.
The scoops are durable and dishwasher safe. Once customers have finished using the scoop, they can leave them outside to disintegrate in three months as opposed to plastic which takes over a thousand years.
