Seijo Ishii, the Japanese Supermarket Chain, has announced plans to open a pop-up store in Singapore to start its overseas expansion plans. The pop-up will be located in the Isetan Scotts department store and will be open from November 4 to 17. In a 10-square-metre space, the store will feature 42 items from the company’s inventory of 10,000.

Masafumi Hayafuji, CEO of Seijo Ishii, said that Singapore is the ideal market for expansion as it is known for having one of Asia’s quickest economies and consumers open to new products.

Products up for testing with Singapore consumers include the Seijo Ishii Blanc Roll and Polvorone.
