VEGAN CHAIN TO EXPAND INTO THE US

Jan Bredack, founder of Veganz

Founded in 2011, German chain Veganz has announced its plans to expand into the United States, by opening a supermarket, a shoe and clothing store and a restaurant in Portland, Oregon, later this year.
Veganz currently accounts for over ten branches in Europe and imports goods from 30 countries worldwide, selling thousands of vegan products such as plant milk and vegan cheeses. Founder Jan Bredack, formerly a Mercedes-Benz manager, estimated that 80 percent of his customers are actually omnivores trying to pursue a healthier lifestyle.
