Frozen Berries Continue to be Recalled

Pams recalled berries

The Ministry for Primary Industries has released another recall alert for Pam's Frozen Mixed Berries. The Foodstuffs South Island Hornby Distribution Centre mistakenly released the berries to stores. The product was recalled on October 4th 2022, due to a link with Hepatitis A in berries from Serbia.

The recall specifically affects berries purchased from the Ashburton and Three Parks Wanaka New World's and the Hornby and Wainoni Christchurch PAK'nSAVE stores.

"Foodstuffs South Island has identified and removed most of those bags before consumers were able to buy them. However six bags have already been sold, and another four are unaccounted for. So we are urging consumers who bought frozen berries from New World Ashburton, Three Parks New World in Wanaka, Pak‘nSave Hornby and Pak‘nSave Wainoni in Christchurch to check their freezers for the recalled product," said Vincent Arbuckle, New Zealand Food Safety (NZFS) Deputy Director-General.
