After Waikato and Northland, yesterday was the turn of Bay of Plenty checkout operators to put their skills to test and try to take out the title of Foodstuffs North Island Checker of Year.
Eight senior Foodstuffs judged 120 checkout operators on their customer service, speed, accuracy and presentation as they scanned 30 products.

Ainsley Meynell from New World Gate Pa (winner), and Holly Fillipo and Eden Arkwright from New World Brookfield (second and third place), were named as the three finalists of this regional competition. Mystery shoppers will test each of the ten region’s winner to find the overall North Island Checker of the Year winner and two runners-up, whose names will be announced on 26 November at the Foodstuffs North Island Excellence Awards.
