Low Carb Zone is a humble, family business where they carefully select the best natural, functional ingredients to create tasty, low carb products everyone can enjoy.
What is your company background, how did you start the business?
Having been born creative and health conscious, I ended up working as a head chef in several cafes in Auckland. Travelling too far and too early to work I decided to work for myself. I started a business providing online low carb meals - one of my breakfast cups had a crunchy cereal on the top and voila! That was a product all customers were asking for. I had no idea it was that good. I changed my business to making only these low carb cereals and in no time they started selling everywhere around New Zealand.
What is the current product range and variants and how do these products stand out in the market?
We have 3 products and 9 variants available at this stage:
- Snacking Cereal - Vanilla, Raspberry, Chocolate/Orange, Salted Caramel
- Wine & Beer S.N.A.C.K - Sea Salt, Nutritional Yeast, Chicken, Chili/Lime
- Soft Keto Buns - Dry Mix
What are the plans for the business moving forward, is there any expansion on the horizon?
Due to the popularity of our products there is a plan for expansion currently in the works.
Where are your products currently available to buy, and are you looking at or wanting to expand your availability?
We sell our products in 25 stores - 20 Bin Inn stores, Simply Organic Tauranga and 5 online stores across the country. From the beginning of October we will be supplying all Farro Fresh stores with New World in Papakura from October as well. We are looking to expand availability across New Worlds.
