Paper Tray Line Innovative Eco Gourmet Experience

ITALY | Ficacci, a well-known Italian company located on the outskirts of Rome, is introducing an innovative eco-gourmet experience with its latest offering, the Paper Tray line. This product combines high-quality olives with 100 percent recyclable paper packaging, aiming to redefine sustainable and premium dining.

The Paper Tray line focuses on delivering an eco-friendly dining experience. The olives are preservative-free, maintaining their freshness, and are presented in 100 percent recyclable paper packaging. Ficacci aims to offer a ready-to-use format that enhances flavor while promoting sustainability.

The latest addition to Ficacci's lineup is the Mediterranean Olive Platter, a 1.65-pound maxi-format designed for gatherings or an authentic Italian-style aperitivo. The platter features three separate compartments with Castelvetrano, Kalamata, and an Italian Olive Mix with Sweet Peppers—each with no preservatives and no liquids. The paperboard, composed of 89 percent paper, underscores its commitment to eco-friendliness.

The sleek design makes it perfect for display and convenient for customers to carry directly to their table. The top and bottom plastic films are easily removable, and the paper bottom can be recycled with other paper waste. This is a significant step in the distribution of fruits and vegetables, aligning with the global effort to reduce overpackaging.

Award-Winning Excellence

Established in 1964 by Romeo Ficacci, the company's success spans three generations. Located in Castel Madama, Ficacci has become a benchmark in large-scale retail trade, retail, food service, and industry. With 12 semi-automatic packaging lines, the company produces approximately 20 tons of olives per day at a production plant that complies with the highest quality and food safety standards.

The Paper Tray line was recognised at SIAL Paris in 2022 and Fancy Food New York in 2023. The range offers a variety of olives made from carefully selected olives from the best cultivars, including Cerignola, Castelvetrano pitted and unpitted, Bella Italia pitted mix, and the latest addition - Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives.
