Dairy co-operative Fonterra has started selling a 40 percent longer-lasting milk in Victoria, Australia, under its Anchor brand. The company said that neither additives nor preservatives have been added; the increased shelf life is attained by using a new microfiltration technology that pushes the milk through a ceramic filter, stretching its shelf life to 21 days instead of 15.
