Supermarket Launches Internal Supplier Advertising Agency

Morrisons in the UK has launched a full-service internal advertising agency named Morrisons Media Group to help suppliers better deliver marketing campaigns to customers. 

"We want to work more closely with our suppliers on targeted, high-performing campaigns that will benefit both their businesses and our customers. The new dedicated internal agency team at Morrisons Media Group will do just that,” said Rachel Eyre, Morrisons chief customer and marketing officer.

The service hopes to build on what has previously been available to brands with more targeted opportunities by utilising loyalty and e-commerce data. The Morrisons Media Group will be delivered in partnership with marketing specialist SMG.

Morrisons follows the lead of Boots and Tesco, which both launched their own media platforms.
