In the build-up to the festive season, My Food Bag has released its Christmas Menu to help take the stress off of customers. Almost half of Kiwis reported that the cost of food is the main contributor to stress in preparation for Christmas feasts. One third of customers reported stress going to the supermarket and deciding what to eat on Christmas day.
“Christmas is always a hectic and expensive time as Kiwis prepare everything they need to create the perfect day – and the food is something many look forward to all year long. But despite being on the same day each year, Christmas always seems to creep up on us,” said Jessie Rolls, Development Kitchen Chef at My Food Bag.
In recent years, meal kits have helped save 31 percent of customers money from their usual grocery shop, saved 63.1 percent of customers' time and reduced 45.5 percent of customers’ stress at Christmas time.
My Food Bag has three Christmas menus; My Festive BBQ, My Christmas CLassic and My Plant Power Christmas.
Classic dishes remain a clear winner when it comes to feasts, such as warm roasts, ham, and pavlova.
