Kiwi Feta Needs Name Change

Kiwi Feta will need to find a name change after the new trade agreement with the EU

Under the recent fair trade agreement New Zealand made with the European Union, a list of protected product names means kiwi items will need to be relabelled.

Locally produced cheese that is labelled as 'feta' has nine years to change things up.

The complete list of product names was 2,200 items long and sought to protect those with geographical significance.

'Sherry' and 'port' are the two other main terms that will be affected by the agreement.
