Another Tahini Recall

Aldiery's Mediterranean Market Limited is recalling a specific batch of Durra brand Tahina due to the possible presence of Salmonella.

The recalled batch has an expiry date of 24 March 2025, sold in 400-gram and 800-gram plastic containers. Customers are asked to check the date mark on the product.

Each product is imported from Jordan and sold at retail outlets and ethnic grocery stores throughout New Zealand.

Retailers of this product must download a copy of the point of sale notice from the MPI website and display it in-store for one month.

Affected products should not be consumed. There have been no reports of associated illness in New Zealand. If individuals have consumed any of these products and are concerned about their health, they are encouraged to seek medical advice.

Customers can return the products to their retailer for a full refund.
