No Cheeky Squeeks

Almost every garage in New Zealand has a can of CRC so when Onfire Design was engaged to update their iconic 556 product and extend the range it was an undertaking not taken lightly.

Careful to retain existing brand equity including CRC’s trusted signature red, Onfire introduced a cleaner, modern look with easy to navigate colour banding. The launch was supported with two cheeky TVCs 'Squeeks Squeeks' and 'Tough Nuts’.

"With new packs on their way we had to produce the TVCs during COVID lock-down, no easy task with everyone working remotely and no access to talent. A rejig of the creative and some inventive ways to produce the TVCs resulted in a couple of ads that work hard,” said Onfire's Sam Allan.

"With 5-56 being one of our top-selling products we are excited with the new look 5-56 and the positive response from our channel partners and end-users,” said Adam Gaskill, CRC’s Marketing Manager.
