RECKITT Benckiser has applied to the Commerce Commission for permission to acquire Johnson & Johnson’s K-Y brand and product assets. RB has had to seek clearance from the Commerce Commission as it currently owns the Durex brand of personal lubricants. The Commerce Commission will consider whether the acquisition will result in substantial lessened competition in the marketplace with a decision due at the end of this month.
