Teddy Delivers $1 Milk

Teddy, the revolutionary grocery delivery start-up, has today announced that it would be reducing the price of milk and bread to $1 and $2, respectively, for the foreseeable future. Meadow Fresh Original and Light Blue one-litre milk and Nature’s Fresh White and Wholemeal bread are limited to one a day per person.

“Food prices have gone up over ten percent in the last year, but our incomes haven’t. It’s not fair. We can see from our app data that bread and milk are what people need most. Even if we take a bit of a hit, at least Teddy can help people get the basics for cheap. Plus with free delivery for orders over $20, you don’t even have to foot the bill for that,” said Chaz Savage, Co-founder.

The company has also recently launched a Friend-Get-Friend deal, where customers get a $10 voucher when they refer a friend to the app. When the new customer signs up, they also receive a $10 voucher for use on their first order.

Since its launch in November, Teddy has seen steady growth and was able to open its Christchurch hub ahead of schedule.

“We haven’t really needed to advertise too much in Christchurch, it seems to spread by word of mouth. This is a strong indicator to us that Teddy is something people are wanting,” said Daniel Taiaroa, Co-founder.
