Kapuni CO2 Plant to Resume Operations

Todd Energy, the owners of the Kapuni Plant, have identified the cause of the safety issue and are expecting the production of liquid CO2 in two weeks. Operations will resume in three stages, with full capacity expected by the end of the year.

The first stage will see the plant operating under strict procedures and at 30 percent capacity. The plant will then undergo a routine shutdown from late February to mid-March for a scheduled inspection. Following this, the plant is expected to run at 50 percent capacity from the end of April and return to 100 percent by the end of 2023.
