For over four years, Vicky Ha aka the ‘Dumpling Queen’ has been educating the palates of Wellingtonians with her House of Dumplings’ artisan dumplings and sauce, made the way mothers and grandmothers in Hong Kong still do. Now she has just expanded her realm to encompass Countdown supermarkets in Auckland (Grey Lynn, Newmarket, Ponsonby, Pt Chevalier, Greenlane, Meadowbank) and Wellington (Karori, Petone, Tawa, Newtown).

House of Dumplings’ full frozen range is already stocked by New World, Nosh, Farro and Moore Wilson’s, and this month ten Countdown stores are adding the range to their freezers, including Full House, cheerful chicken, prancing pork and vegan treats.

“Summer in New Zealand is all about food, and our larger packs of dumplings are aimed at those who like to entertain, get friends together and share food,” said Ha. “Dumplings are the perfect light summer dinner, an early evening starter or a snack with a few mates. And the best part is they only take eight minutes to steam straight from your freezer.”

All products are handcrafted using the best, no-MSG and preservative-free real ingredients, most of which are sourced from local producers. All poultry and pork are free-range.
House of Dumplings has also been recently selected as a finalist Artisan Producer at the NZ Food Awards 2016.
