Buzzing for Boysenberry

Good Buzz launches its new kombucha, boysenbery and apple.

Good Buzz has the perfect drink to keep customers refreshed this winter. Replace a lukewarm cuppa with their Boysenberry Apple Kombucha.

The new drink is made from organic New Zealand boysenberries and apples blended with organic cane sugar, locally-produced Bay of Plenty artisan spring water and tea.

"When coming up with this new flavour (and it being my inaugural brew for Good Buzz), it was really important to curate something that complimented the wider fruity offering of Good Buzz kombuchas. From fruit pie fillings, crumbles and beautiful dessert sauces, the flavour profiles of boysenberries and apples are well-known to work in perfect harmony together. So, when I tried them out with our kombucha, I knew we were onto a winner," said Like Miller, Good Buzz's new head brewer.

Miller worked previously as a head wine-maker in the Bay of Plenty but wanted to transition into brewing something his children could enjoy.

"Having grown up in The Mount, it's wonderful to be part of a local business that champions New Zealand-grown produce and holds the values of making kombucha the traditional way, brewing it slowly and naturally over the duration of two weeks," Said Miller.

Boysenberry is key to the flavour and colour of the new kombucha. The apples balance out the sweetness of the boysenberries and give the brew a subtle tart finish. Like all Good Buzz kombucha, the new flavour is Bio Grow certified, reflecting the company's commitment to organic ingredients and practices.
