Plant-powered purified water Chlorophyll Water has unveiled a landfill biodegradable bottle design. The new bottles seek to eliminate pollution, reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and more.

A proprietary organic additive was added to the bottles mould to help accelerate the natural biodegradation of it when placed in biologically active landfills and even anaerobic digesters. The additive attracts microbial activity in the landfill that release enzymes designed to break down the bottle. The company believes that a complete biodegradation process will occur around six years.

The Chlorophyll Water bottles are 100 percent BPA-free and non-toxic.
