ECO friendly wine bottles made of cardboard could make their way to Kiwi shelves next year. Produced by Californian packaging company Ecologic Brands, the bottles are made from compressed recycled paper including boxes used to store glass wine bottles. Printed with natural ink the bottles contain a recyclable plastic bladder and are similar to Quantum Pacific’s packaging for its Eco Planet range of laundry detergents. Two wines featuring the innovative bottles are currently available in the US.
