Nestlé Purina PetCare opened a distribution facility in Hartwell, Georgia in 2017, approximately 190,000-square-foot in size.
One year after the site’s launch, Nestlé Purina PetCare celebrated the opening of its 21st factory in the country. The facility currently holds nearly 200 employees and an additional 40 are expected to join the team.
“I am proud to congratulate Purina on the opening of their 21st U.S. factory in Hart County. As one of the nation’s leading pet food companies, Purina’s expansion into Hartwell and continued commitment in Fairburn is creating exciting opportunities,” said Georgia’s Governor, Brian P. Kemp. “I am excited to see another member of the Georgia Made family grow their operations, and I have no doubt that our top-notch workforce will ensure Purina’s continued success in the years ahead.”
The company turned a textile facility into a high-quality production in order to produce the most trusted Purina brands, including Fancy Feast which is the top wet cat food brand in the country. With more than US$320 million invested into the site, Purina will unquestionably face growing success in the upcoming future.
