Regal Marlborough King Salmon has nabbed an award at the TVNZ Marketing Awards for its Manuka Smoked Salmon advertisement, that saw renowned chef Al Brown and CGI seal Reg team up. The ad first launched in September, winning the award for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods. The creative campaign, developed in collaboration with Republik, was the perfect platform to communicate Regal’s voice.

Regal Marlborough King Salmon marketing manager Sahra Cliffe said that the company was very proud of their win. “This was our first time entering the TVNZ NZ Marketing Awards, so we are just blown away by the extent to which New Zealanders have embraced this campaign,” she said. “The creative risk has truly paid off.”

The ad campaign was used to promote three of Regals products from the Manuka Smoke range including a 100g and 200g Cold Smoked salmon, and 200g Wood Roasted salmon. After the success of the campaign Regal said that consumers can expect to see similar campaigns with both Al and Reg in the future.
