Major Makeover For Haxby Co-op

UK | Haxby Co-op re-opened its doors to the community on Thursday, the 30th of April, following a three-month investment programme to transform the store.

The store has relaunched with a fresh new look and range to enhance the community's shopping experience.

New refrigeration will reduce energy consumption and support Co-op’s carbon-reduction goals, while enhancing the range and choice of fresh and chilled products.

An in-store bakery and Costa Coffee Express are available, alongside Co-op’s meal deals and food to go; Fairtrade products; ready meals and meal ideas, including its new Mexican-inspired ‘Served’ range - pizzas; fresh meats and dairy; chilled beers and wines, fresh flowers and everyday essentials.

Parcel collection services are available in-store via Amazon and DPD. The online home delivery of groceries is available via Deliveroo, Just Eat, and Co-op’s own online shop, with Uber Eats coming soon.

Orders are picked fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently in the local community. Payment services are available via PayPoint.

Member price savings create additional value for Co-op members, who can save more on the essential products they buy most.

"We’re delighted to invest in Haxby, and proud to be part of local community life. Co-op is committed to backing high streets and communities, and we work to ensure our stores are a hub locally,” said Josephine Turnbull, Co-op Area Manager.

“We have a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone alongside added services including Costa Coffee, parcel collections, payment services, quick online home delivery and more. The store has been transformed, and the whole team is really looking forward to welcoming our members and customers back into the store. Now that work is concluded, we’re here to serve and support the community conveniently.”

Co-op is committed to backing British agriculture, with all of its own fresh and frozen meat 100 percent British, including in its pies, sandwiches and ready meals.

Soft plastic recycling is available in store, making it easier for shoppers to return and recycle materials that are often not universally accepted via household kerbside recycling, such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers, and pet food pouches.
