USA | Whole Foods Market opened a new 53,400-square-foot store located at 2910 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida.
The Midtown Miami store’s product assortment includes more than 500 local items from more than 130 Florida suppliers, each meeting Whole Foods Market’s rigorous quality standards.
“Growing up in South Florida, I am honoured to help open this beautiful new store in Midtown Miami,” said Blake Guarnieri, Store Team Leader at Whole Foods Market.
“From Cuban-inspired beverages at the coffee bar to a large assortment of seafood sourced fresh from Florida fisheries, we are excited to serve the Miami community with local flavour and the highest quality ingredients.”
Opening morning, customers enjoyed complimentary coffee from Wells Coffee and breakfast treats from Zak the Baker. The first 300 shoppers in line were given a limited-edition tote bag and a Secret Saver coupon, featuring offers of up to USD 100. Later in the day, pass out complimentary gelato pops to afternoon shoppers.
Additionally, on opening morning, Whole Foods Market provided a food donation to The Caring Place, a nonprofit that makes regular surplus food pickups from local Whole Foods Market stores to help prevent food waste and serve the surrounding community.
This food donation is a part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighbourhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organisations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need. Whole Foods Market also donated to area organisations, Urban Oasis Project and Lotus House.
