Multi-award-winning non-alcoholic brewery, Big Drop Brewing Co, is launching four of its full-flavour beers into the New Zealand market, available nationwide through selected stores.
Big Drop’s signature beers - Pine Trail Pale Ale, Galactic Milk Stout, Uptown Craft Lager and Paradiso IPA – are all 0.5% ABV and will be available to purchase in 4-packs [RRP: $18.99] in time for Summer. They offer the perfect alternative for craft beer lovers wanting to cut back on the alcohol, but not on flavour. Between them, they have won over 70 international beer awards, including 6 times ‘World’s Best’ at the World Beer Awards and beating full-strength rivals on blind-tastings.
Galactic Milk Stout: Made with barley, oats, rye and cocoa nibs this is described as rich, unctuous and an absolutely decadent treat of a beer. This was Big Drop’s first brew when the company launched in 2016 and, according to the 2021 World Beer Awards, is still the World’s Best No & Low Beer.
Pine Trail Pale Ale: This American Pale Ale style is a delight for the senses, delivering on all levels. Rosy floral aromas are immediate as you pour, with a light and limey citrus bite on the palate and a balanced but obvious bitterness to finish.
Uptown Craft Lager: Easy drinking, full-flavoured but elegant, this Amber Lager has light herbal and floral hop aromas, a hint of caramel with peppered spiciness on the palate, and a touch of orange at the end.
Paradiso IPA: This IPA radiates citrus fruit from the moment you pour it to the second you finish that last sip with a satisfied sigh. The bright, sharp twist of bitterness on the end makes you want to dive back in for one more.
Brewed in Australia and with more releases in the pipeline, Big Drop’s mission is to create a non-alcoholic version of any style of beer on offer. And, to cater for everyone’s needs, it also tries to be low-gluten and low-carb whenever possible. Both Paradiso and Pine Trail, for example, are less than 14 carbs per can and less than 10 parts per million of gluten. The Uptown Craft Lager is also vegan.
