NEW WORLD’S TOP 50 WINES ARE SELLING OUT

Jim Harré, chair of the judging panel

Just ten days since the New World Wine Awards’ results were announced, the Top 50 wines are flying off the shelves. Some varietal champions and gold medal-winning wines are now very low in stock nationwide.

“Given that all wines entered must also be priced under $25, and the increasing recognition among wine lovers of the calibre of this influential wine show, it's not surprising that these award-winning wines are proving so popular,” said Jim Harré, chair of the independent expert judging panel.

Wine lovers may have problems finding these:
- Clearview Estate Beachhead Hawkes Bay Chardonnay 2015 (Champion Chardonnay)
- Sandalford Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 (Champion Single Red Varietal)
- Saint Clair James Sinclair Marlborough Chardonnay 2014 (gold)
- Henry’s Drive Pillar Box Red Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 (gold)
- Goldfields Central Otago Pinot Noir 2014 (gold)
- Mount Riley Marlborough Pinot Gris 2015 (gold)
- Waimea Nelson Pinot Gris 2015 (gold).
